Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Competitive (negotiable based on experience), non-taxable and paid in dollars on a quarterly basis

Annual Performance Bonus: At Management discretion, as per policy.

Accommodation: Rent-free furnished company-provided shared accommodation, as per policy.

About the Role: Masco Foods is expanding into the catering industry with a new division focused on delivering high-quality meals for events, corporate functions, funerals, weddings, and social gatherings across Ghana. We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Head Chef to build this new setup from the ground up.

The ideal candidate will be based full-time in Ghana and take full ownership of the menu creation, kitchen setup, team training, food production standards, and operational processes. You will have the rare opportunity to shape a national brand in event catering with the backing of Ghana’s largest restaurant group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and build the catering kitchen – design the kitchen layout, equipment needs, and staffing plan.
  • Create diverse, scalable menus featuring international and local dishes to suit various events and cultural contexts.
  • Develop original recipes and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for food prep, cooking, portioning, hygiene, and storage.
  • Maintain exceptional quality and presentation standards for both VIP and standard catering events.
  • Collaborate with procurement to source cost-effective, high-quality ingredients.
  • Hire, train, and manage a culinary team capable of delivering consistently high standards at scale.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (local and international).
  • Maintain budget controls, minimize food wastage, and support profitability.
  • Supervise event-day food delivery, plating, and service coordination as needed. - 

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in a professional kitchen with at least 3 years in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role.
  • Proven background in multi-cuisine catering – Indian, Western, Asian, Continental, and African fusion.
  • Strong knowledge of event-scale catering – experience with weddings, corporate events, or high-volume functions preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to design and manage kitchen workflows, including production schedules and cost control systems.
  • Willing to relocate to Ghana full-time.
  • Experience working internationally or in multicultural settings is an advantage.
  • Culinary degree or professional chef certification is preferred.
